Head Coach of the female national team, the Black Queens Mas Ud Didi Dramani, says age cheating is the major factor that hampers football development in the country.

The former Black satellites coach revealed most of the footballers in the country are unable to reach their full potential because of the massive cuts in their ages.

A lot of times, most of the young talents in the country make names for themselves at youth tournaments but fail to make it to the highest level because of the cut in their ages.

Mas Ud Didi Dramani, who has coached most of the talents from the country indicated that the situation is serious and must be curbed.

“People are cheating in the age which impedes on their development because the game of football is all about the age. The age cuts in with your talents, so if you don’t place the person in the right perspective thus knowing the player’s right chronological age,” he said on GHone Tv’s the Legends Night Show.

“Am one person who doesn’t take the issue of age cheating lightly because the game of football is very scientific.”

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach provided a method which could be used to rectify the situation.

“We have to put in place a database so as to serve as reference point as well as monitoring the progress of our football. Ghana has lost many players due to our inability to implement this mechanism, ” he said.
