Liverpool have received a major transfer boost after the agent of Emil Forsberg has refused to rule out the midfielder's possible departure from RB Leipzig during the January transfer window.
Forsberg has been one of the standout players for the surprise Bundesliga title contenders this season and currently tops the assists chart in Germany with nine.

The Swede has recently emerged as a possible transfer target for Liverpool with somereportssuggesting that the Reds are willing to bid £20m for the player, as they look to find a replacement for Saido Mane, who is now away on international duty for the next month.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is understood to prefer signing Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic however any deal for the American appears to be someway off which means Liverpool have now turned their attentions to Forsberg instead.
The playmaker's club have insisted that the 25-year-old is not for sale and team managerRalph Hasenhuttl recently said he did not expect any of his players to leave in the next month.
However, Forsberg's agent,Hasan Cetinkaya, hasadded fuel to the proverbial fire and hinted that the Swedish international may yet leave RB Leipzig after refusing to make promises about his client's future.

Cetinkaya told Blid (as quoted by theSportsmole):"I can't promise that Emil will stay in Leipzig this winter."
Liverpool will now be hoping they can take advantage of Forsberg's uncertain futureand lure him to Anfield, as they bid to keep in touch with Premier League leaders Chelsea, who could go eight points clear of the Reds if they can beat Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Wednesday evening.
