Asante Kotoko Defender, Agyemang Badu has disclosed that there's no feeling of nervousness ahead of Sunday’s second tie with Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the last round of qualifier of the CAF Champions League preliminary stage.

The porcupine warriors are a step away from reaching the group stages should they avoid any defeat beyond a goal as they hold a two-goal advantage from the first leg match at the Baba Yara Stadium.

When asked whether there's some level of uneasiness among them, Agyeman Badu responded in the negative, adding that, they have a plan in place to protect their lead.

"We don't feel nervous," he said. "We are already in the lead with two goals and the plan will be to protect those goals but that's not to say we are going there with a defensive mentality. We will stick with the coach's plan,"

Agyeman Badu further indicated that, the team is optimistic of scoring while keeping a clean sheet to avoid being eliminated." We are confident we can get goals over there and also keep a clean sheet to secure our qualification."

The central defender further hinted that, the team has psyched themselves well to embrace or accommodate any unsporting behavior often seen of the North African sides.

"We're well aware of what they are capable of doing," he noted. " They'll try to frustrate and intimidate us on and off the field of play, but we have psyched ourselves for that. Our target is to advance to the money zone and make history for ourselves."

Asante Kotoko needs to Secure the qualification ticket, to end the 13 year-wait for that prestige. The last time the Porcupines reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League was in 2006 under late Coach E. K. Afraid.
