Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is targeting a return to first-team action in four weeks time.
The Spain defender picked up the injury after being on the receiving end of a strong Danny Rose challenge in Arsenal's 1-1 draw with north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur earlier in November.
Subsequently, he has missed the twodraws with Manchester United and PSG, as well as Arsenal's 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday.
Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy have filled in during Bellerin's absence, but the 21-year-old has revealed he is hopeful of making a return to Arsene Wenger's starting 11 sooner than expected.
"It's going really good. Better than I expected, Bellerin told theDaily Mirror.
"It is a hard injury to recover from and a bit painful.
"But I am going to try to be running from this week and hopefully I'll be back on the pitch in less than four weeks.
Bellerin has also recently signed a new contract with the club, and stated he is eager to recover from injury quickly and reclaim his place in Arsenal's side.
"I'm really happy, he continued.
It is what I really wanted to do all the way. It was just about setting a good contract that we were all happy with.
I just can't wait to get started now.
Having broken into the Arsenal first-team back in 2014, Bellerin has established himself ahead of the likes of Jenkinson and Debuchy to be regarded as Arsenal's best right-back.
Bellerin, who developed at Barcelona's youth academy, has made 87 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners during his time in north London, scoring three goals.
