Alan Pardew Reportedly Set for Sack if Crystal Palace Lose Relegation Scrap With Swansea

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew will be sacked if his side loses at Swansea on Saturday, according toThe Sun.

The Eagles are 16th in the Premier League and have been in poor form recently, having lost their last five league games. Their last victory came in the 3-2 success at Sunderland in September, and Pardew's side are now just one point above the relegation zone.

Crystal Palace's board are running out of patience with the 55-year-old, and have identified ex-England manager Sam Allardyce and Wales boss Chris Coleman as potential replacementsshould they feel the need to part ways with Pardew.

Allardyce, who has beenwithout a job since leaving the Three Lions setup after a newspaper sting, is being considered but no formal approach has been made, while Coleman could be tempted by a return to the Premier League despite his successful reign as Wales boss.

The former Fulham and Real Sociedad manager signed a new two-year contract with the FAW in May, before Wales' wonderful Euro 2016campaign. The tournament successhas seen Coleman shortlisted for the FIFA Coach of the Year award, alongside the likes of Pep Guardiola, Claudio Ranieri and Diego Simeone.

Despite making some impressive transfer signings during the summer, including the likes of Christian Benteke, Steve Mandanda and Andros Townsend, Palace have struggled for form so far this season and already look to be set for a relegation scrap.

The club face some huge matches over the forthcoming Christmas period, with games against the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
