On his way back from international duty, Sanchez posted a picture of himself celebrating with his Arsenal teammates on Instagram. The image was captioned 'De vuelta a casa. Coming back home'.

Sanchez's post will be welcomed by Arsenal fans, who have had to put up with constant speculation regarding the future of their talented number seven.

There has been plenty of discourse surrounding the Chilean's future at the Emirates. This has only been compounded by rumours, outlined in a report in theMetro, that Arsenal hit major stumbling blocks whilst attempting to tie Sanchez down to a new-and-improved £250,000-a-week deal.

A host of big clubs swarmed in response to the stalling contract talks. Juventus and Bayern Munich were the two showing the most vested interest in the dynamic and energetic forward, who has started the season in great form.

Since making the transition from a wide left position to replacing Olivier Giroud as Arsenal's number nine, Sanchez has found goalscoring success, with five goals in his firstnine matches of this campaign.

Arsenal fans were therefore extremely keen to see the 27-year-old commit his future to the North London club, and, after protracted contract discussions, it looks as though Sanchez's social media post has confirmed that his heart still belongs to Arsenal Football Club.

He also included a Union Jack emoticonin his caption of the Instagram picture, eluding to the fact that he is loving life in the United Kingdom. It seems as though Alexis Sanchez is here to stay.
