The Chilean forward has scored six times and registered three assistsin the Premier League so far, and has played the majority of the campaign as the Gunners' central forward.

In just over 900 minutes of league action, Sanchez has made a direct goal contribution roughly once every 100 minutes.


The forward's speed, work rate and finishing ability have been accentuated in his new central role and the former Barcelona attacker, speaking to Arsenal's official clubwebsite, explained just how much he is enjoying life in his new position.


I like it as a centre forward because I can get involved in the play more,� Sanchez said.


"I have the chance to drop deep a little bit more and that means I can link up with my team-mates more."

The 27-year-old also revealed how he prepared for his positional change, after being told of the new plans by boss Arsene Wenger.


[Wenger] asked me to play there so I said fine - I looked up some videos on the internet to see how I needed to adjust my movement and I've been adapting since then.�
