Alfred Duncan extends Sassuolo contract to 2022

Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan has signed a contract extension at Italian side Sassuolo.

The 25-year old has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at Mapei Stadium-Città del Tricolore until 2022.

Duncan who has been impressive for the side has been the subject of transfer speculations last summer, with Valencia, Inter Milan and AS Roma said to be interested in his services.

The new deal according to renowned Italian tabloid Gazzetta dello Sport puts to rest the transfer reports after becoming a mainstay under coach Roberto De Zerbi.

The former Sampdoria enforcer has formed a strong midfield partnership with captain Francesco Magnanelli in the ongoing campaign.

Duncan has netted 2 goals in 11 appearances in all competitions for the Neroverdi this term and with his form many ave predicted more goals for the Ghanaian.

Despite his good form this season for the side, he's not had the best of runs in terms of match games due to his niggling injuries.
