Reigning African champions Algeria as well as their West African counterparts Nigeria who finished third in Egypt 2019 are hoping to get back to action after the long stoppage caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

Algeria will take on Zimbabwe in November double header, while Nigeria faces Sierra Leone in the same window.

Les Fennecs sit on top of their qualifying Group H after back to back victories in the opening two match days. Algeria defeated Zambia 5-0 in Blida before picking an away 1-0 victory over Botswana in Gaborone.

Nigeria also tops their Group L with a 100% record. The Super Eagles defeated Benin 2-1 in Uyo before beating Lesotho 4-2 in Maseru.
