Algeria to play Ghana in pre-AFCON friendly before travelling to Cameroon

The Algeria national team has planned to play a friendly match against Ghana before travelling to Cameroon for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Pitted in Group E of the upcoming AFCON tournament, Algeria will be aiming to successfully defend the title they won in style at the last edition of the tournament in Egypt.

As part of preparations for the tournament, Algeria according to information gathered will hold a pre AFCON2021 training camp in Doha, Qatar.

At the training camp, the national team of the North African country will play two friendly matches including one against the Black Stars of Ghana.

The other pre-tournament-friendly match will be a game against Gambia.

At the end of the training camp, the Algeria national team will fly directly from Qatar to Douala, Cameroon for the TotalEnergies AFCON 2021.

The Black Stars besides the Algeria friendly will be expected to play another game before the AFCON commences in January 2022.
