Alhaji Ankabi: Top spot now doesn't guarantee winning the league

Accra Hearts of Oak Board Member Alhaji Ankabi says the fact that Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars are joint top on the league log after match-day four of the Ghana Premier League does not mean they have won the league.

The Phobians have managed 6 points from their first four games- this leaves them four points behind both Kotoko and Aduana.

Many have tipped both Asante Kotoko and Aduana for the title following their good start to the season.

But Alhaji Ankabi says the league is too young for a winner to be declared.

“We are playing a marathon league, if you have had the opportunity to be at the top it doesn’t mean you will be winning it,” Akanbi told Pulse.com.gh.

“The league is too young for that, definitely the winner will be declared after match day 30. Those at the top should be wary of the challenge they will having.”
