Alhaji Grusah doubts Chris Hughton's ability to lead Black Stars to the top

King Faisal bankroller Alhaji Grusah claims Chris Hughton is not the coach to lead Ghana to the top because he wasn't good when managing some clubs in Europe.

Chris Hughton has managed clubs like Nottingham Forest, Brighton & Hove Albion, Norwich City, Birmingham City, Newcastle United among others.

Chris Hughton was announced as the new Black Stars coach on February 12 by the Ghana Football Association.

The Black Stars has been without a head coach following the resignation of Otto Addo after the team's exit from the group stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Mr. Hughton was the Technical Advisor of the Black Stars for the past twelve months.

Speaking to Asanteman FM Grusah said:

"Chris Hughton wasn't good when he was coaching Tottenham and other teams in Europe,"

Details about the duration of the contract and terms of engagement were not provided during the announcement. Chris Hughton will be supported by Assistant Coaches George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
