General Captain for the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan has shared that he is ready to help his national team in the qualifiers of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The player who is Ghana’s leading top scorer in history does not have age on his side and almost hanged his boots prior to the 2019 AFCON which was staged in Egypt.
He later rescinded his decision and joined the Stars to represent the West African country at the tournament where they disappointingly crashed out at the round of 16 stage.
Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM earlier today, Gyan has noted that he is still ready and available to play for the national team in the qualifiers of the 2021 AFCON.
“As at now I’m still ready for a call up to the national team”, the former Kayserispor striker said.
He added that he is confident in the new crop of players available for the Black Stars and believes that can win something for the country in the future.
“The Black Stars have a future with this crop of players, I don’t doubt the qualities of any player”, the 33-year-old striker said.
