Ghana captain Andre Dede Ayew has taken to his social media platform to congratulate and welcome Charles Kwablah Akonnor as the new head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana.
The former Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak manager was confirmed as the new manager for the senior national team of the West African country last month.
CK Akonnor has replaced coach James Kwesi Appiah whose contract with the Black Stars run out at the end of December 2019.
The gaffer visited the Ayew brothers in Wales over the weekend as part of his tour to Europe to discuss his vision, program and a new direction for the national team.
In a post on Andre Ayew's Instagram page after meeting up with the coach, he has formerly congratulated CK Akonnor on his new job.
"We congratulated him on his appointment as the new head coach of our national team and thankful that he saw the need to cheek upon us".
"We wished him the best and promised to give our best like always to help mother Ghana", the post on Instagram read.
