Andre Ayew satisfied with Ghana’s double win over Zimbabwe to stay in race for WC qualification

Ghana captain, Andre Ayew has expressed satisfaction with the double win over Zimbabwe in the October international break.

The Black Stars in the past week played the Brave Warriors in two different matches in Group G of the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Needing a win in both matches to stay in the race for qualification, Ghana did just that as Ayew scored in the first encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium.

In a Twitter post today, Andre Ayew has expressed his delight at the two wins and has thanked Ghanaians for the support.

“2/2 still in the race..we will keep going ! Thanks for your support and prayers,” the post on the Twitter page of Andre Ayew has said.

Courtesy of the two wins against Zimbabwe, Ghana has stayed in second on Group G with 9 points and just a point behind leaders South Africa.
