Andre Ayew stars in Fenerbahçe's first win since mid-November

Ghana international Andre Ayew was in action for Fenerbahçe as they defeated Yeni Malatysapor 3-2 to pick all three points for the first time since mid-November in the Turkish Super Lig. 

Ayew, who joined the Turkish side from Swansea City in summer on loan was handed a starting berth in The Yellow Canaries’ vital win at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Monday.

The 29-year-old played 80 minutes of an entertaining game in his 17th game of the season for the club so far this term.

Fenerbahçe took the lead through Mehmet Ekici strike in the 2nd minute of the game but Arturo Mina equalized for the away side in the 28th minute.

Five minutes later, Ekici registered his second goal of the night to restore The Yellow Canaries’ lead.

But once again, the visitors replied with the equaliser, this time through Mitchell Donald, who netted in the first-half stoppage.

The match was heading to a draw until Mehmet Topal found the target on the 86th-minute to seal to a 3-2 victory for the home side.

The win has taken struggling Fenerbahçe two places above the relegation zone on the 14th position.
