Ghana will welcome it’s new boy Andrew Kyere “Andy” Yiadom today as the team assembles in Dubai for a five-day camping ahead of their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Egypt on November 13.
The Barnsley wing-back is expected to be cleared by FIFA today to make him eligible to play for Ghana following his exploits with England team C, where he made 3 appearances with 3 goals to his credit.
The English-born Ghanaian was named in head coach Avram Grant’s 23 man squad for this month’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Egypt in Alexandria. However, the 24-year-old will need FIFA’s clearance to play for the Black Stars in Sunday as Ghana seeks to return to winning ways after going four games without a win. The Black stars will also be chasing their first win in Group E of the qualifiers after drawing against Uganda last month. Egypt lead Group E with three points – two more than second-placed Ghana and Uganda.
