Antonio Conte Looking to Spend Money at Chelsea While West Ham Eye Fabregas Loan

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte reportedly wants to see the club hierarchy spend plenty more money over the course of the next two transfer windows (January 2017, Summer 2017) as he looks to put his own stamp on the playing squad at Stamford Bridge.

Conte has already inspired a huge turnaround at Chelsea after a difficult start to the season, but the Daily Telegraph has reported that the Italian sees January as an opportunity to make sure his team can challenge for the Premier League title this season.

After that, the summer window will give him the chance to assess his needs ahead of the 2017/18 campaign and kick on again.

It is said that while Conte's team have shot up the Premier League table after five straight wins, conceding no goals in that time, the recent burst of success has only made the former Juventus and Italy boss evenhungrier to succeed.

It was recently rumoured that he only landed one of his own transfer targets after taking over after Euro 2016 in summer, so what he has achieved so far has been with a squad almost completely assembled by others.

One player who appears increasingly unlikely to have a future at Chelsea is Cesc Fabregas.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona star was a central figure as the Blues won the Premier League in 2014/15, but was one of the worst culprits of downing tools when things became difficult last season and has hardly featured under Conte as a result.

According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham are considering what would be a surprise loan offer.

Such a move would see Fabregas able to remain in London, a city he has called home for all but three of the last 13 years, and the report even claims Chelsea would be willing to subsidise his £160,000 weekly wages to make a deal more appealing to potential suitors.
