Arjen Robben Calls on Bayern Players to Improve After Win Against Werder Bremen on Saturday

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has called on his teammates to improve despite a 2-1 win over Werder Bremen on Saturday.

The Dutchman opened the scoring as the Bundesliga leaders recorded their 13th successive victory over Werder Bremen.

Despite that achievement, Robben expressed his belief that the game should have been more comfortable than it was.

"It should have been over when we were two up," he toldBayern's official website."Bremen upped the pressure in the second half and attacked more, so it should have been easier for us to score.

"We have more space then, and we have to make better use of it. If we play better we ideally make it three or four without reply.

"We have to be more disciplined and control the match when in possession. We also allowed too many counter-attacks in the first half. There's lots to improve."

Arjen Robben has now been directly involved in 7 goals in his last 5 #Bundesliga away games.

Bayern remain three points clear of RB Leipzig at the top, but Robben's concerns were echoed by captain Philipp Lahm, who added:"The main thing is that we've won, but it's clear that we can play better, and that we have to.

"The next phase of midweek matches is approaching. Heavyweight encounters await us, we must play better than in the last two matches then."

Bayern next play Schalke at home in the Bundesliga, before a trip to Ingolstadt and a Champions League last 16 clash with Arsenal.
