Arnautovic ignores transfer talk

Forward Marko Arnautovic has vowed to retain his focus on putting in good performances for West Ham and not be distracted by talk of a possible move away from the London Stadium.

The 29-year-old Austria international has impressed so far this term for the Irons, despite having to nurse a knee problem and his agent and brother Danijel recently spoke of the prospect of his sibling joining a Champions League club, perhaps even as soon as the January transfer window.

My business is to perform on the pitch.

However, former Werder Bremen and Stoke City frontman Arnautovic says he will not allow himself to lose focus on the job in hand, starting with a Premier League clash with reigning champions and current table-toppers Manchester City.

He told Sky Sports after helping Austria defeat Northern Ireland 2-1: "I don't want to talk about that. I concentrate on West Ham and we have a big game against Manchester City on Saturday and I am only thinking about this game and the following games.

"Whatever is going on with my agent and the clubs is not my business. My business is to perform on the pitch, to put in performances and that is what I want to do."

The Hammers have lost their last five meetings with the Citizens, conceding 18 goals in the process, with the London Stadium meeting last season ending in a 4-1 victory for the visitors.

West Ham can be backed at 5/1 to secure a draw on Saturday afternoon, with City 2/9 to win the game and 10/3 to do so by a two-goal margin.
