Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has said he is worried about the injury of new signing Thomas Partey.
The Ghana superstar picked up an injury in their last Premier League game against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.
The injury ruled the 27-year-old out of Ghana's 2021 African Cup of Nations doubleheader against Sudan last week.
Arteta was asked in the pre-match press conference whether Partey was on his way to recovery, but the former Manchester City assistant coach responded: “No, he picked up an injury very early in the game [against Aston Villa], he tried to carry on and he wanted to play the second half and we knew it was a significant injury.
"He has done really well, he is working very hard and he wants to be available.
"Hopefully, we can get him back soon but it is an area where we have to be careful and a bit protective with the player.”
Arsenal will be hosted by Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.
Partey joined the Gunners from Atletico Madrid this summer.
