Sead Kolasinac informed his Schalke teammates last week he would be leaving this summer.
The fullback closed out his S04 career in the stands over the weekend as he was suspended for the final game of the season with Ingolstadt.
Ruhr Nachrichten reports Kolasinac told Schalke's squad last week that he had decided to leave, with his contract expiring in June.
The 23 year-old has agreed terms with Arsenal over a long-term deal and passed a medical earlier this season in London.
Kolasinac's deal could be confirmed in the coming hours with the Bundesliga season now over.
