According to the Telegraph, Arsenal are looking at trading for Roma midfielder Diawara in what looks like a swap deal, leaving a potential transfer for Partey on tenterhooks.
Lucas Torreira is said to be the player on his way out after an unsuccessful year with limited playing time. He is reportedly eager to move to Roma and Arsenal are looking to get Diawara in a swap.
Arsenal started talks with Atletico Madrid for Partey but his 50 million valuation proved to be a stumbling block. According to reports, Arsenal offered a player plus cash for Partey which was rejected. The Spanish club are adamant on the release clause. Juventus have reportedly entered the race for Partey as well.
Partey has made over 40 appearances for Atletico Madrid this season.
