Arsenal could miss on Lacazette due UCL uncertainty

Arsenal could miss out on long-term transfer target Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer, according to The Telegraph.

The Gunners failed in their attempt to sign the French striker last year, and they are expected to renew their interest in the summer.

However, the North London side, who are likely to miss on Champions League football next season, have already suffered a setback in their pursuit.

The 25-year-old has made it very clear in his recent comments that he will only leave Lyon for a Champions League club.

"This summer I might go for a breath of fresh air and try something different, always with the idea of progressing in football and as a person," he said. "I'm going to keep working, with the hope that good opportunities come for me this summer.

"[The team I join] will have to be in the Champions League and play good football – passing the ball, not just hitting it from box to box. Not kick and rush. That would not work for me."
