Arsenal fear Alexis meltdown and Ospina rift after Chile failure

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is concerned about Alexis Sanchez's mental state after Chile's World Cup elimination this week.

The Gunners fear he will not be mentally fit following Chile's World Cup KO — especially as a blunder from club-mate David Ospina cost him his place in Russia.

The Sun says Sanchez is due back at the club today after his country's 3-0 defeat against Brazil.

Nobody at Arsenal knows what frame of mind the sulky striker will be in ahead of Saturday's trip to Watford.

Some at the club think last season's 30-goal top scorer will now feel he has nothing to play for while he runs down the final months of his contract.

Sanchez, 28, has already rejected a new contract worth £250,000 a week and is wanted by French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
