According to the Athletic, Arsenal are looking at signing at least one of Houssem Aouar or Thomas Partey before the transfer window ends but Arsenal have currently prioritized Aouar.
The Gunners made a first offer worth about 35 million euros for Aouar which was rejected but per reports, they will make a much better offer within the week which will likely be accepted by Lyon.
In the case of Thomas Partey, Atletico Madrid have informed the Gunners to make a bid worth 50 million euros, the player's release clause or face losing him this summer.
According to reports, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Partey and the player is keen but the deal with the club seems difficult unless Arsenal sell players. Currently, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira and Sokratis are on the transfer list and they hope to ship them out before the window closes.
