English Premier League giants Arsenal are looking at other alternatives if they are not able to sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
They hit a stumbling block in their search for Houssem Aouar of Lyon and have turned their full attention to Partey according to reports.
The Gunners have already agreed personal terms with the player and are trying to use Lucas Torreira, a player who is loved by Diego Simeone, as makeweight for a potential deal.
However, reports have indicated that Arsenal will still have to pay the 50 million release clause. If that does not happen, they will look at other alternatives this summer.
