According to some reports for Express, Arsenal have withdrawn momentarily their interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder, Thomas Partey.

It has been reported that their reason for the withdrawal is their reluctance to pay the 50 million euros Atletico is asking for. They previously tabled about 25 million plus player for the Ghanaian's services which Atletico rejected.

The Spanish outfit are adamant on their quoted price and will not listen to any offers below that.

Arsenal, however, are still keen on getting the deal done and are looking to sell some players first before revisiting terms. It has been reported that they are looking for suitors for Matteo Guendouzi and once they get a good fee for him, they will swiftly trigger the release clause of Thomas Partey.

The 27-year-old made over 40 appearances for Atletico Madrid in the previous campaign.
