Arsenal manager Mille Arteta disclosed after the Burnley clash on Saturday afternoon that he had to substitute Thomas Partey because he had picked up an injury.
The Black Stars talisman who recently recovered from a hamstring injury started for the Gunners yesterday when the team visited the Turf Moore.
On the back of a solid performance in the first half that saw Arsenal take the lead through a fantastic strike from Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey had to come off in the second half in the 75th minute.
According to his manager Mikel Arteta, he had to sub the midfielder because he was having cramp problems.
‘He [Partey] struggled at the end, he could not finish at the end, he was cramping, but that will come up. He’s missed a long time that will come again, and he needs some fitness back,” the Arsenal gaffer said in his post-match interview.
Although there are fears, it is likely Thomas Partey will be fit in time for Arsenal’s next match in the English Premier League.
