Arsenal midfielder’s agent to secure Juventus move this week

Juventus are closing in on the signing of Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, with the player’s agent set to arrive in Italy later this week to sign a pre-contract agreement.

The Welshman is available on a free transfer this summer as his current contract at the Emirates Stadium expires in June and he will not pen a new deal to keep him in London.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Ramsey’s agent David Baldwin will arrive in Turin later this week to close out a deal for his client after Juventus return from Jeddah, where they will face AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana on Wednesday.

All of the bureaucratic issues surrounding the deal and the signing of the pre-contract agreement will be finalised later this week for a five-year deal which is worth a reported €6.5 million per season for the ex-Cardiff City man.

At the moment, there is no intention from Juventus to bring the player to the Allianz Stadium in January as they are unwilling to meet the Gunners’ €20m asking price if they allow him to depart earlier than expected.
