Arsenal Reportedly Send Scouts to Watch Highly Rated Udinese Midfielder Jakub Jankto

Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Udinese's highly rated youngster Jakub Janktoby sending scouts to documenthis progress in Serie A, according to Italian publicationCalciomercato.


The 20-year-old had been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates earlier this year after reports of Arsenal scouts attending involving Serie B outfit Ascoli, where he was on a season-long loan spell.

Instead of a move to the Gunners, the Czech Republic U21 international returned to his parent club Udinese, where he has established himself in the starting eleven by making four appearances already this season.


It is understood there have been no official talks between Arsenal and the player's representatives but Italian reports claim strong interest remains in the Gunners to bring the 20-year-old to the Emirates.

Jankto, who has established himself as one of the quickest players in Serie A, scored his first goal for Udinese this weekend in the 2-1 loss against Serie A giants Juventus and he revealed he was 'emotional' in getting his first goal in Serie A.


I am very emotional," he told reporters. "It was my first goal in Serie A and it was beautiful to have scored it here and against Buffon. We made mistakes in the 2nd half, but I believe we played a great game and deserved much more.


My idol was Pavel Nedved. I saw him today but I did not have the courage to greet him. He was a great player for the entire country, he also won the Ballon d'Or.�
