Arsenal suffer setback in pursuit of £43m Partey target

Athletico Madrid's dependable midfielder Thomas Partey has knocked back suitors by revealing he has no intention of leaving the club.

English giants Manchester United and arsenal were purported to have interest and ready for a move for Thomas Teye Partey, but the Ghana international has ended any speculation about his future.Saying he is happy in Madrid and not looking to leave anytime soon.

“I’ve grown up in Atleti and I'm sure I will stay here“I don’t know of another place that will understand how I play like they do here", the midfielder told Cadena Cope.

Partey whom early this year renewed his stay with the club till 2023, has a £43m release clause in his contract.
