Arsenal Will Allow Jack Wilshere to Leave Club on Loan Before Wednesday's Transfer Deadline

Arsenal will surprisingly allow home-grown midfielder Jack Wilshere toleave the club on loan before Wednesday's transfer deadline, making the player available in an attempt to help him play regular football and regain full sharpness.

The revelation from comes as a result of various independent reports from Sky Sports, the Daily Mail and the Daily Mirror, with Wilshere still considered a part of Arsenal's long-term future but not a current first-team pick after slipping down the pecking order.

Wilshere, who managed just three appearances in the whole of last season after suffering multiple injury setbacks following a broken leg suffered in the summer of 2015, has seen the Gunners sign Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka since.

Santi Cazorla has also returned to fitness from his own lengthy layoff, while Wilshere has actually even barely played since the emergence of Francis Coquelin because of an earlier ankle injury he picked up in November 2014 that ruled him out for several months.

Now, 24 years of age, Wilshere's career has been totally blighted by injuries. He missed the whole of the 2011/12 season, only his second as a first-team player, and only played more than 25 Premier League games in one (2010/11) of his six campaigns as part of the Gunners' senior squad.

He was a surprise inclusion in the England squad for Euro 2016 but has lost his place in Sam Allardyce's first squad and won't get back in unless he's playing at club level.

It remains unclear as to which clubs might be available as loan destinations.

The reports suggest that Arsenal are understandably not keen to send him to a direct rival - Manchester City, for example, were once heavily rumoured to be interested, although those days are now long gone.

Speculation from the Mirror in particular has suggested that a club abroad may be the answer, citing the example of Valencia's interest last season during Gary Neville's brief spell as head coach.

Another club in Spain, or Italy, where Joe Hart is heading on loan to Torino, may be a possibility.
