Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez Reveals the 3 Things He Learned From Former Barcelona Teammates

Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez has revealed what he learned from the likes of Lionel Messi and Andres Iniestawhile playing for Barcelona.


The Chilean forward was at the Catalan club from 2011 to 2014 having joined from Serie A club Udinese and made over 140 appearances.


And during his spell at the Nou Camp, Sanchez has revealed that he learnt a lot from some ofthe world class players alongside him.


At Barcelona I learned how to play football all over again. From Iniesta I learned how to accelerate, from Xavi how to move, from Leo [Messi] to think ahead, and from Pedro I learned how to shoot," he said in an interview withFourFourTwo Performance.



Sanchez has experienced more personal success since his move to North London, having been overshadowed at times while at Barcelona.


He admitted that he has a strict lifestyle and dietin order to keep up the high intensity style of play that has helped him become such a fan favourite at the Emirates.


I don't like to go out a lot,� he added. I prefer to be at home and watch movies.�



Sports nutritionist Gavin Allinson commented on Sanchez's diet, which generally containschicken kebab, beetroot coleslaw and sweet potato.


He said:"The chicken provides lean protein to help muscle fibres repair. Sweet potato provides carbs to replace glycogen and helps drive the protein into the muscle cells. Beetroot causes greater blood flow of oxygen and nutrients to the muscle cells, improving recovery,"
