Arsene Wenger Gives Epic Answer to What He'll Say When He Meets God in Heaven

Published on: 21 October 2016

Many Arsenal fans probably see manager Arsene Wenger as a god in footballing terms.

However, it seems that the man celebrating his twentieth anniversary at the club is one step ahead of them, because Wenger has already been considering his answers for the divine one when he finally goes up to the football stadium in the sky.

If God exists and one day I go up to heaven he will ask, ˜What have you done with your life?' and the only answer I will have is, ˜I tried to win football games,'" Wenger said philosophically to theSun.

God, however, may in fact be a Tottenham fan, judging by His next question.

Then he will say, ˜Is that all you have done?' and I'll reply, ˜It's not as easy as it looks'. I started to manage when I was 33 and I'm one of the few managers in the world who has not had any break years."

Just when you think the Arsenal boss could not warrant any more respect, he shows the bravery to put the Lord himself in his place. You half expect him to startchanting 'It's happened again' at his Creator.

Wenger is 67 years old, but was spared the ignominy of being the oldest manager in the Football League by Neil Warnock, who has been appointed as the new Cardiff Cityboss.

Thank you, Neil!" exclaimed a relieved Wenger."I'd prefer to be the youngest manager in the league but I believe you forget your age if you are in good health and still love to improve every day."

I'm feeling good and I'm still as passionate as before, even if maybe I'm not as fast as I used to be."

I do not feel like an old man. I run and train every day and if all professional footballers lived like I do they would be fit for all ten months of the season."

Arsenal fans will be glad to hear how Wenger intends to celebrate his birthday.

A manager's happiness is linked to his last result, not with his birthday. The result against Middlesbrough will be 99 per cent of my celebration.
