Big blow for Ghana as Captain Asamoah Gyan and his deputy Andre Ayew are set to miss the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Congo on Tuesday.

Gyan could not train with his teammates in Accra on Sunday after picking a knock during the game on Friday.

Andre is also recuperating from a knock he sustained in the game which ended 1-1.

The duo are likely to be missing in action in Tuesday’s game at the Stade Municipal de Kintélé,.

Coach Appiah will thus be counting on the likes of Richmond Boakye-Yiadom, Kwadwo Poku and Thomas Agyepong to replace Gyan and Andre in the starting line up.

The Black Stars must secure a win to revive their World Cup hopes after failing to grab victory in their three matches played so far.
