Asamoah Gyan anticipating a successful 2019 at both club and country

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan believes 2019 will be great for him at both club and country following what he describes as a difficult year.

Gyan struggled to command game time at Kayserispor last year following his niggling injuries.

With the limited minutes handed him both in the Turkish League and and the Turkish Cup he managed to hit two goals.

On the national level, Gyan was not involved in most of the Black Stars games in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Ghana all top scorer is looking at putting last year behind him as he is eyeing a positive 2019.

"I would like to say happy new year to every Ghanaian and i think this year will be great for everyone, the future looks bright and we have to start the year with a positive vibe," he said

"Personally i want to start playing consistently, that is all i want to do, football is my life and it has been a difficult year and i am hoping things will change.

"Anytime i am playing and scoring i am happy and despite everything i want to play and score to make the fans happy."
