Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan insists he has no problem with his deputy Andre Ayew.

In an exclusive interview with Joy FM, Gyan noted that talks in the media suggesting he has a problem with his deputy Andre Ayew are misplaced.

Recent reports in the local media suggested that, the Black Stars team is divided with Andre Ayew faction and Asamoah Gyan faction.

Some have also said, Andre is keen on taking the captaincy from Gyan, hence there is an unhealthy relationship between the two players.

'I don't have a problem with Andre Ayew, he has been my friend way back since he joined the national team, i have been his inspirer in the team,' said Gyan

'Sometimes people try to bring this rivalry between two stars in the team- we saw this in the olden days.

'But i always want to keep things real, i don't have a problem with Andre, he is a fighter and he fights so hard on the pitch and does what will benefit the team.

'My advice to people is to stop putting this rivalry between us because we are good friends and we are cool.'
