Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has sent a message of encouragement to his teammates ahead of their 2017 Afcon final qualifier against Rwanda on Saturday.
Gyan went back to his new club Al Ahli of Dubai on Saturday morning after meeting the team and Coach to seek leave to continue his schedule routine recovery to return to full fitness.
The Black Stars have already booked their ticket to next year’s tournament but Gyan wants them to give their all despite the current situation facing the team.
“I know what is going on and that is the main reason why we have to give our best to show Ghanaians we love the nation,” said Gyan
“I know you guys will do it as you have always been doing in my absence.
“We are the Black Stars of Africa and we will continue to shine.”
