Asante Kotoko CEO George Amoako to vie for GFA Executive Council position

According to reports, Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Mr. George Amoako will contest for a slot on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.

The astute football administrator has joined the race to vie for a slot on the Executive Council in the upcoming elections.

Following the recent Extra-Ordinary Congress held by the Normalisation Committee, Executive Council of the Association shall comprise of 12 members.

Amoako, who has vast experience in football administration has expressed his readiness to serve on the Executive Council of the country's football governing body.

The CEO becomes the second football administrator to announced his decision to contest for a slot on the Executive Council after AshantiGold Chief Executive Officer Mr. Frederick Acheampong.

He has previously severed as the vice-chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) and several top positions at the Ghana FA.

The GFA Executive Council elections are set to be held on October 24.
