Asante Kotoko trainer Mariano Bareto believes Ghana Premier League will be better off should other clubs exhibit Karela United style of play.

The Porcupine Warriors inflicted a 2-1 defeat on the Pride of the West at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in matchday 30 of the league.

Inform Emmanuel Gyamfi opened the scoring for the two-time African Champions before Richard Berko restored parity.

Later on in the game, Asante Kotoko talisman Fabio Gama Dos Santos stepped up to convert from the penalty spot which propelled the club to victory.

Speaking after the game, the Portuguese trainer was full of praise to the Pride of the West due to their performance.

“Of course, we have some players out but we are the team and they showed we are the team. We played very well in the first half, we made two goals and I don’t why one is not valid. I have information that it’s a clear goal”

“I have many doubts about the goal of Karela but I think we are the clear winners and we are the best team in the match. Karela only trying to shoot balls and try to complicate us and we play and this is what I would like the people understand even in the last minute we are looking the goal, most of the teams killed time and this is the way my players grow and play good football”

“One word for Karela, they came to fight and if other teams make what Karela made, the Ghana league will be very competitive but what is strange is that they made the wind when they play against us, congratulations to them” he said.
