Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu has expressed his excitement following the return of highly-rated youngster Matthew Anim Cudjoe from his trials at German giants Bayern Munich.

The 16-year-old has been one of the standout players for the club and has wowed fans with his impressive dribbling skills and decision-making in the final third.

He missed Kotoko's last two matches against WAFA and Dreams FC after undergoing a five-day trial at Bayern Munich in Germany.

Cudjoe resumed training with his teammates on Monday at the Adako Jachie training complex.

Speaking ahead of their match day 10 game against regional rivals Ashanti Gold SC, the former Black Stars assistant coach couldn't hide his joy to see Cudjoe return to the club.

"We are very happy to have Cudjoe back with us after his trip to Germany. We heard that he did very well and the guys in Bayern are impressed by what they saw.

"For now, he will be with us until a new development comes up. He is a quality player and once he is with us, we expect that he will help them team as much as possible," coach Konadu said.

Asante Kotoko are 4th on the league table with 17 points after nine matches played so far.
