Asante Kotoko coach Seydou Zerbo reacts to club's fourth successive draw in Ghana Premier League

Asante Kotoko coach Seydou Zerbo has reacted to the sides fourth successive draw in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors were away to Gold Stars at Dun’s Park on Monday, January 16 2023, where the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

It was Kotoko’s fourth consecutive stalemate, having shared the spoils against Aduana Stars, Great Olympics, and Tamale City.

The champions have been far from clinical in front of goal having won just one of their last 7 games with 5 draws and a loss.

The reigning champions took the lead through Stephen Mukwala in stoppage time of the first half. Gold Stars equalized through a Yahaya Adraman spot kick at the start of the second half.

The Golden Boys blew the chance to claim all three points after Prince Owusu missed a penalty awarded his team in the 70th minute.

“Football as it is, is a game of chances and the match we played today is different from the match we are going to play next so we can’t say much about this match. All of our supporters saw what went wrong and what went good”

“The attackers we have at our disposal this year is not like the one we have for last season…we can’t compare last year attacking squad to this year attacking squad but still most of them most of them are there last year so we are working on it to revamp the attacking process.”
