Ghanaian giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed the extension of the contract of English Coach Steve Pollack after a successful negotiation on Tuesday.

Steve Pollack joined Kotoko from Berekum Chelsea in the second round of last season and was asked to handle the club until the end of the season.

The English tactician managed to finish the season in fifth place but helped the Club to win the MTN FA Cup, after beating arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak 3-1 in Tamale.

The victory ensured Kotoko will represent Ghana at the CAF Confederations Cup, and the club rewarded the manager with the contract.

Although, details of the contract remains confidential, sources close to footballghana.com revealed the gaffer was handed a two year deal and has been tasked to reach the group stages of the continental tournament.

The Porcupine Warriors have struggled in continental competitions recently but were in the final of the CAF Confedrations Cup when it was first introduced, beaten to the trophy by arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
