The Burkinabe coach was sacked after Asante Kotoko's defeat to Medeama SC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday evening.

With one game in hand, the Porcupine Warriors are seventh on Ghana Premier League table with 34 points.

Boadu was fired as Hearts' head coach in September of last year. The 37-year-old spent more than two years with Hearts after taking over from Medeama SC in March 2021.

In the 2021-22 season, Boadu led the Phobians to their first Ghana Premier League title in 10 years. During the same season, he also won the FA Cup.

Boadu lost out on defending the league championship the next season, although he did win the FA Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors view coach Samuel Boadu as the perfect coach who can manage the club to finish the season strongly.
