The father of the now Black Stars midfielder passed on last night but the cause of his death is unknown.

The Ghanaian giants took to social media to confirm the demise of the enterprising midfielder’s father.

Lamptey has been outstanding in the ongoing campaign for the Porcupine Warriors. His impressive run of form earned him a call up into the national team.

The former Inter Allies player made the 27-man squad for the just ended 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

He served two assists to help Kotoko clinch the maiden J.A Kufuor Cup a week ago at the Baba Yara Stadium.
