Asante Kotoko - Ebusua Dwarfs friendly match called off

Published on: 02 December 2018

Kumasi Asante Kotoko's much anticipated friendly match against fellow Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs has been called off.

The match, which was originally planned for December 2 was re-scheduled to be played on Monday due to the advice of Green Grass Technologist who says the pitch needs at least a day rest after the just ended Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.

The game has been cancelled entirely to give way for Ghana's sole representative in Africa to plan ahead of their friendly game against Inter Allies in the second double-header friendly.

Coach C.K Akunnor and his charges have so far intensified preparations ahead of their first CAF Confederation Cup game against likely opponent Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks who are leading 6-1 in their first leg encounter against Arta Solar of Djibouti in the preliminary stage of the competition.

The two friendlies against Ebusua Dwarfs and Inter Allies were to give the Porcupine Warriors a competitive action ahead of their trip to Kenya following the suspension of the top flight due to the Anas expose on corruption in Ghana football.
