Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have give their players two-weeks break following the suspension of the 2019/20 season.

The Ghana Football Association released a statement on Sunday following the directives given by the President of the Republic, to suspend all its competitions with immediate effect until further notice.

As a result, the club has given the players and members of the team 14 days rest to help prevent the rapid spread of coronavirus.

Kotoko's game against Inter Allies on Monday was called-off as many leagues across Europe have been postponed until at least April 3 due to the deadly virus.

Ghana have recorded six coronavirus cases so far but are yet to record any deaths.

Asante Kotoko are currently 4th on the league table with 25 points, just five points adrift leaders Medeama SC who have played a game more than the Porcupine Warriors.
