Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Frederick Asare, has revealed his admiration for former club goalie Razak Abalora, citing him as his idol.

Asare, currently in his second season with the club, has quickly made a name for himself after an impressive debut season following his free transfer from Accra Lions last season.

The 24-year-old shot stopper is currently taking part in a training camp with the team at Beposo, where they are intensively preparing for the upcoming campaign.

During an exclusive interview with the club's official YouTube channel, Asare shared insights on various aspects of his career.

Notably, he highlighted the significant influence that the FC Sheriff Tiraspol goalkeeper, Razak Abalora had on him and his development as a goalkeeper.

"In my formative years, I looked up to Razak Abalora, especially because he was my senior at WAFA.
