Asante Kotoko new coach Mariano Barreto meet players at Adako Jachie

Asante Kotoko new head coach Mariano Barreto and assistant coach Bruno Miguel have met the Asante Kotoko players today training grounds, Adako Jachie.

The Ghana Premier League powerhouse on Friday, March 26 announced the appointment of former Black Stars coach, Barreto as the new head coach of the club ahead of the second half of the season.

The Portuguese manager arrived in Kumasi on Saturday and were at the Adako Jachie Training ground where the club played in a friendly game against Rainbow Stars.

The Porcupine Warriors emerged as 3-1 winners.

Patrick Asmah, Augustine Okrah and newly signed striker Andy Kumi scored the goals for the club.

Barreto and his assistant were introduced to the players and the technical team by the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Barreto will make his official debut next weekend when Kotoko host Techiman Eleven Wonders in Ghana Premier League at Accra Sports Stadium.

Asante Kotoko finished teh first half on the 4th position with 27 points.
